Simple Changes. Add Up Over Time. Become Significant.
Keep it simple!
We have all heard it, right? But it is so true! There is so much information out there about health these days, and it can be hard to know what to listen to and what to believe.
So, that is partly where my philosophy on health comes from. That we need to just take it back to basics. Small changes. Simple things, that add up and become significant. That it has to be sustainable. That little simple changes, over time, add up to massive changes. And that, in my opinion, is how you get long lasting, better health, inside and out
It’s that principle “Simple, but significant” that I base all my programs and online courses around, as well as when I am taking care of you in the Chiropractic space. To help you get the best out of you. More importantly, for you to love the process to better health
.So, here are some of my top tips, for simple changes, that will become significant and change your health inside and out!
Take it slow! It’s ok to feel like a tortoise on your way to a healthier life. This means you are more likely to be making sustainable, long lasting changes
Want to increase your steps daily? Don’t try and go from 3000 per day to 10000 per day. Start with increasing my 1000 a day for a few days. Then 1000 more. You are more likely to stick to this and keep increasing. Park further away from the shops or work, take the stairs, walk the long way. Move a little bit more.
Eat one extra bit of fruit a day. Or one extra vegetable. Again, don’t go from none to 10 a day. Add them in slowly. Try new things along the way.
Do you have a mid arvo sweet tooth and reach for the chocolate or lollies? Swap you mid arvo chocolate for a protein bar, some nuts or dried fruit. Don’t take the snack out all together, just make a swap for something healthier.
Have an extra glass of water a day instead of trying to go from 1L to 2L and stop drinking coffee all in one day. Then add another glass a few days later. Have a drink before you leave the house. Or have a deal that every coffee you have, you have to drink a glass of water first. Add some lemon or fruit to the water to make it more interesting.
Find 2 minutes to stop and breathe. Then add a few extra minutes. Or do it a few times during the day, instead of trying to meditate for 30 minutes a day straight up. This will help your stress levels decrease. Remember to breathe!
What can you commit to changing, something small, something simple, that will move your health forward in a positive way?
Are you ready to make some changes, but want some help to get started?
